CATHERINE

TANSEY

Hi, I’m Catherine.

I’m a journalist who covers food and beverage, travel, craft, and sustainability. I’m most drawn to people-centric stories with a distinct sense of place, like the feature I wrote on the first Méxican sake brand or my profile of the Andean farmer and agricultural engineer Manuel Choqque Bravo. My work has appeared in top-tier publications like Condé Nast Traveler, National Geographic, Vogue.com, Atmos, Wine Enthusiast, and more.

I also consult on communication strategies for projects with aligned values, helping founders share a consistent and compelling narrative for their brand.

I lived for six years in Oaxaca de Juárez before moving to Madrid, where I currently reside. In another life, I worked in front of the house at the James Beard-award winning restaurant Uni Boston, where I learned enduring lessons in hospitality.

Find me on Instagram, see my published works, or learn more about my select client work.
